Capita launches GI quotation
Capita has launched an unrivalled aggregated general insurance service to intermediaries by linking the products and services of its portal Webline and its GI aggregation service BDML.
Intermediaries can now use Webline to obtain household insurance quotations from BDML’s panel household insurers.
Common policy wording ensures that they can compare ‘like-for-like’ building and contents insurance policies from a panel of underwriters.
The confirmed panel comprises nine insurers with plans to grow this number to BDML's 14 insurers in the coming weeks.
Capita says Enabler extending into the GI market will help expand an adviser’s portfolio of services and generate a significant income stream - up to £2,500 in year one, £4,500 in year two and £6,100 in year three.
Webline chairman Paul Holland says: “This launch offers a unique proposition in the market place, not only in terms of making policies from such a large number of GI providers available at the click of a button, but also by generating extra earning opportunities for intermediaries."
BDML operations director Paul Stacy says: “Commission levels for advisers have been set at 27.5 per cent. Unlike any other provider in the marketplace advisers will have the ability to sacrifice all or part of their remuneration if they so choose."
