Webline/BDML deal allows IFAs to compare quotes
A link-up between Capita’s Webline adviser portal and BDML insurance service will allow advisers to compare household and building insurance through their Capita Enabler desktop software.
Advisers can obtain comparable insurance quotations from a panel of nine insurers, soon to grow to 14.
Insurance cover forms can be completed online with no wet signature required. A direct debit can also be set up and any insurance policies that are undertaken will be re-broked automatically against the panel of insurers every year.
Paul Holland, chairman of Webline, said: ‘This service can be used by mortgage advisers to comply with treating customers fairly (TCF) guidelines as they can get automatic quotations on insurance.
‘Advisers are required under TCF rules to provide clients with insurance options when they purchase a mortgage. It can also be white-labelled so customers can visit an advisers website and buy insurance online.’
