Webline link promises a significant income stream
CAPITA has linked products and services of Webline, its adviser portal and BDML, its general insurance aggregation service. It is a further development of the Capita Enabler programme which aims to deliver a fully integrated adviser desktop and support a broad range of retail financial services products, benefiting advisers, distributors, providers and customers alike.
Capita said the advantage of linking up services meant intermediaries could now use Webline to obtain directly comparable household insurance quotations from BDML's panel of the UK's top household insurers.
The firm added that the extended offering of its Capita Enabler programme in the general insurance market would not only help expand an adviser's portfolio of services, but in doing so generate a significant income stream.
Capita said figures showed intermediaries could earn an additional £2,500 per annum year one, £4,500 per annum year two, and £6,100 per annum year three. It also believes retention rates will be optimised to as high as 80pc aided through annual re-broking against the BDML panel, as well high levels of customer service and support of mid-term policy adjustments.
According to Capita, being able to offer household insurance to clients will complement mortgage business intermediaries, and help fulfil the legal obligations that require them to inform clients about insurance they need when purchasing a property.
Paul Holland, chairman of Webline, said that linking up with BDML would not only increase intermediaries' services and generate an additional annuity income stream, but would also address the need for household insurance in a comprehensive solution.
Paul Stacy, operations director at BDML, said: "With the Webline platform and BDML panel, we can now deliver a straight-through process, providing a simple and efficient service. "Commission levels for advisers have been set at 27.5pc. Unlike any other provider in the marketplace, advisers will have the ability to sacrifice all or part of their remuneration if they so choose."
