About BDML Connect Ltd
BDML Connect Limited was originally formed in 1993. Initially the business was focused on the administration of free insurance schemes for motor manufacturers and providing quotations for the overflow business of sister company, Touchline Insurance.
Following a management buyout in 1998, the business continued to prosper under the ownership of the BDML Group, a privately owned business managed by the founding directors. Under the new ownership major investments were made in information technology, staff training and development. BDML Connect has developed a speciality in delivering behind-the-brand insurance administration services and secured contracts with high profile partners across a broad spectrum of industry sectors. In early 2004 BDML Connect secured a contract to provide insurance administration services to Norwich Union. BDML Connect provides quotations and administrative services for motor insurance cases where Norwich Union Direct, the RAC or NU partners such as Asda and Barclays bank are uncompetitive or unable to quote.
In 2005 Capita Insurance Services Group Limited (Capita) acquired 100% of the share capital of BDML Connect Ltd from BDML Group.
BDML Connect now employs over 400 staff at its base in Portsmouth and administers over 500,000 policies.
