BDML Connect to acquire specialist motorcycle broker
BDML Connect's bid to acquire the Mitchells and Hill House Hammond motorcycle accounts has been accepted by Norwich Union. The deal is intended to be completed in October and the 20,000+ policies will be administered from BDML Connect's Head Office in Portsmouth. Existing Hill House Hammond employees in Southampton will transfer to BDML Connect. Sandy Dunn, BDML Connect's Chairman and Chief Executive, commented:
"This is terrific news for BDML Connect. The opportunity to extend our product range and bring additional expertise into the team was too good to miss. I am delighted that the policies will be retained in the broker market and that we will be able to provide roles within BDML Connect for former HHH employees. The motorcycle portfolio will enable us to further support our existing affinity partnerships and strengthen our relationships with key insurer partners.”
